Founded in 2006, the Salzburg-based dance company Potpourri Dance blends the expressive power of Hip-Hop and House culture with the artistic depth of contemporary dance and theatre.

Under the artistic direction of Farah Deen and Olivia Mitterhuemer, the company has been dedicated to bringing these often “underground” styles to the stage and making them accessible to a wide audience.

Their work spans national and international performances, theatre and music-video productions, as well as workshops and educational programs.

A standout element of their outreach is the international street-dance festival Flavourama, initiated in 2009, which brings dancers from around the world to Salzburg.

In 2024, Potpourri Dance received the Art & Culture Award of the City of Salzburg—recognition for their role in bridging classical cultural spaces with urban subculture and creating new intercultural meeting points.
