With different events throughout the four festival days, Flavourama’s mission is to connect people, share knowledge about the culture of Hip Hop and House Dance, give upcoming artists and performers the possibility to grow and to show their skills on stages and in performative settings.  

With its 17th edition from the 4th until the 7th of September 2025, the Flavourama Festival is looking for volunteers to join the team and help to make the festival an unforgettable experience. Based on our values, we are looking for open-minded people that want to join our Flavourama community, who are open to collaborate and are eager to learn from and with each other. 

You can participate in the following ways: project coordination, assembling and dismantling at different event locations, ticketing, artist care, registering battle guests, working backstage, car shuttles, simple troubleshooting and being a Helping Hand wherever it’s needed. 

Please be aware that working at the festival can be a very intense experience that might require a lot of energy – please decide for yourself if you are ready for that.
We will of course ensure breaks as well as continuous guidance from the Flavourama team – more so, within a team of volunteers, you are never alone. 

The Flavourama team seeks to build a community of volunteers and wants to give every person the opportunity to learn about the festival and get insights behind the scenes. Therefore, a Volunteer Meet & Greet will take place on Wednesday, 3rd of September in Salzburg, during which volunteers get to know each other as well as the Flavourama team members.
The board members of the festival – Olivia, Farah and Elena – will share their knowledge of organizing events in the dance field, answer your personal questions and inspire you with their work ethic.  

Additionally, you’re warmly invited to join us for the “Artist Welcome Dinner” on the same day. All invited artists, volunteers, and the Flavourama Team will come together to eat, chat, get to know each other, and kick off the festival week with a group picture at Cosmic Pizza.

After the festival, we also want to hear about your experience during the festival and receive your feedback, therefore we will be having a “Debriefing Call” via Zoom, on the 20th and 21st of September 2025, at 11:00 AM (CET). We would deeply appreciate it, if you could make it to one of these two meetings.  

Furthermore, as a volunteer, you get free tickets to Flavourama events – depending on your work availability – as well as a Flavourama Goodie Bag including a Flavourama T-Shirt.  

 

How many days do you want to contribute to the festival?

– One day (get 1 event ticket for free) 

 – Two days (get 2 event tickets for free) 

 – Three Days or more (whole festival for free)

Note: If you work on Saturday and want to use your free ticket for a workshop, then you can only choose the first workshop-slot (10.30 – 12.00) due to availability reasons. 

Next to the Volunteer Meet & Greet, there will be two obligatory online briefings with all volunteers, in which you will receive important information about your work and competences needed at the festival. It is mandatory to be present in one meeting, which will happen online via Zoom.
